چکیده

In this paper, a novel adaptive algorithm for equalization of periodic signals using active control is developed. This algorithm actively cancels out a single frequency without changing the amplitude levels at close frequencies. The algorithm performance is compared with that of an adaptive equalizer previously reported [1][2]. Both algorithms are used for a real multichannel system in order to equalize some given frequencies of a primary signal. The local active noise control system has been used to create an equalization zone. A two channels system is used and the total pressure is controlled at two microphones. A 4100 type Bruel manikin with two calibrated microphones at the ear canals has been used to obtain sound levels in an hypothetic listener s ears. The equalization points are not only the error sensors positions but an area around them which is measured using the manikin.

Recursive least-squares algorithms with good numerical stability for multichannel active noise control

Some recursive least-squares algorithms for multichannel active noise control have recently been introduced, including computationally efficient (i.e. “fast”) versions. However, these previously published algorithms suffer from numerical instability due to finite precision computations. In this paper, numerically robust recursive least-squares algorithms for multichannel active noise control sy...

Multichannel affine and fast affine projection algorithms for active noise control and acoustic equalization systems

In the field of adaptive signal processing, it is well known that affine projection algorithms or their low-computational implementations fast affine projection algorithms can produce a good tradeoff between convergence speed and computational complexity. Although these algorithms typically do not provide the same convergence speed as recursive-least-squares algorithms, they can provide a much ...

Eigenvalue equalization filtered-x algorithm for the multichannel active noise control of stationary and nonstationary signals.

The FXLMS algorithm, which is extensively used in active noise control, exhibits frequency dependent convergence behavior. This leads to degraded performance for time-varying and multiple frequency signals. A new algorithm called the eigenvalue equalization filtered-x least mean squares (EE-FXLMS) has been developed to overcome this limitation without increasing the computational burden of the ...

Inverse structure for active noise control and combined active noise control/sound reproduction systems

In this paper, a simple inverse structure for multichannel active noise control (ANC) is introduced, based on the use of noncausal models of the (pseudo-)inverse plant between the error sensors (typically microphones in ANC systems) and the actuators (typically loudspeakers). This structure, combined with adaptive FIR filters and filtered-x LMS-based algorithms, can produce both a reduction of ...

Fast exact filtered-X LMS and LMS algorithms for multichannel active noise control

In some situations where active noise control could be used, the well-known multichannel version of the ltered-X LMS adaptive lter is too computationally-complex to implement. In this paper, we develop a fast, exact implementation of this multichannel system whose complexity is approximately O(2L) per lter channel, where L is the FIR lter length. In addition, we provide a computationally-e cien...
